For those who like to get out and live life to the fullest, and want their dogs to be able to do the same, this is the program for you. An Adventure Staycation will provide you with the reliable obedience, house manners, and socialization that comes standard with all our programs, as well as the ability to get out and adventure with your dog.
Beginning with the initial behavioral evaluation, we will collaboratively identify any behavioral problems you are currently facing. You will have the opportunity to provide us with a clear image of the lifestyle you live with your dog, and your goals for long term happiness and success. Hiking? Biking? Swimming? Camping? Overnight Trips? What adventures do you dream of? With this information in hand, we will develop a training program customized to the specific needs and experiences of you and your dog.
During your dog's four week stay at Destination Dog Training, he or she will receive multiple training sessions per day, each aimed at creating an incredibly strong foundation that will stand the test of time. Additionally, he or she will go on several weekly adventure outings to practice and perfect their skills in the environments you will ultimately be bringing them into, all culminating with a multi-night out-of-town Destination Adventure.
Realizing, as well, the important role that you play in your dog’s long term success, we also spend time working with you, the owner! Throughout your dog's stay, you (and your family) will receive several hours of private, individualized, hands-on lessons. We will teach you the ins and outs of our proven training system, working on your ability to produce the same positive and consistent results that are achieved here during their training. You will learn the tools to ensure your dog makes a seamless transition back into your home.
After your dog goes home, we will continue to provide you with the high quality, individualized guidance and support you need to see all of your long term goals become reality. Working in your home, as well as venturing out into the world together, you will truly have the ability to go anywhere and do anything with your dog!
